Making the Most of Your Wedding Budget
For those of you who are planning to get married soon, I suggest that you plan ahead of time. Set a schedule for each detail that needs to be taken care of. Also, don't forget to ask for your friends, your family and some professionals to help you out. It is always smarter and wiser to consult the people who have experienced wedding first hand. That way, you will be able to know what to and what not to do. As a matter of fact, I believe it would be so much better to concentrate on what to do rather than what not to do. The more you avoid those things not to do, the more that you will most likely do them.
If you don't have friends who can give you some really sound and decent advice that you can use at all, then you can take your families' advice. I am pretty sure that they would be more than willing to plan your entire wedding from start to end for you. Unlike friends, the family will go out of their way to make sure that your special day will become successful. It will be their success if your wedding will be a success as well since they will be planning for it just for the two of you. Just make sure that you don't leave everything to them. Make sure that you become hands on as well.
Sometimes, we tend to become busy with so much details that we forget that the people organizing our wedding also do get tired. In fact, they could also run out of good ideas sometimes so it would be better if we could inject some personal touches in what they are planning. That way, there will be variations and more options to choose from. Then you can be sure that you won't get surprised with how things will turn out to be on your special day. Always remember to make yourself aware of all the progress of all the details. Pay extra attention to details because they can either make or break your big day.
When it comes to the wedding dress, I believe that something classic is still more appreciated than something that costs so much. It doesn't have to be expensive as long as the bride looks good and feels good wearing it. You will be able to save a lot of money if you can borrow someone's wedding gown instead. It could be your mother's, your grandmother's or your great grandmother's wedding gown. Just make sure that there won't be any holes or rips on it. If you think it's a bit dull and yellowish from storage, you can have it restored to its original state at a fraction of the cost of buying a new one. Still, you can save some really serious amount of cash with recycled wedding gowns.
If you think the old wedding gown is kind of too old fashioned for you, customize it according to your taste. Add beads, sequins, lose the ruffles if you wish. Just make sure that you make it look as you wish to look in it during your big day and enjoy.
